Condoms for Life

Today, I would like to involve you in an important campaign.

Recently I became a member of the European Advisory Group of the liberal organization Catholics for a Free Choice.

Their recent campaign is Condoms for Life and part of this campaign is a letter to Pope Benedict XVI, asking him to lift the ban on condom use for HIV prevention.
I strongly encourage you to read the letter and sign it if you agree, even if you are not Catholic and pass this information to others.

The campaign is especially important for people in Catholic countries like mine, where many people still listen to and follow the Church preachings.

Here's the link

Thank you for your interest.

condoms for life

I think the catholic’s stand against the use of condoms could be because the church presumes it could promote immorality among the youths. The church didn’t consider that there are always two sides to the coin. It could also be used by married couples as a safe family planning method.

This presumptiom could be likened to some communities in the Arab world who presume that giving immunisation to their children is a ploy by the western world to sterilise the children of the Arab world.

likewise some people in the Arab world, who also presuppose that acts of terrorism and suicidal attacks against innocent people, is the best way to spread their faith and fight for a cause.

I think going beyound this could qualify one as a fanatic.

the sin in catholic church
hey anka.

we must make a distinction between the church in our cities or district and the CHURCH in Rome. I think there is a big difference in two cases. When John Paul II was the Pope, Church emphasized the personal sin, like sex, personal sins with God. They forgot the social sin, the sin in the society, because they were more conservatives, and maybe social sin is a marxist theory for them. I believe Benedictus XVI coulf change and return to social sin of Vatican II. I have a relative he is franciscan amd doctor and he goes to Rome to meetings about medecine and teology, he says the something is changing in Rome.

But I think that this question, the use of condoms, isn't a religious question, i believe is a male chauvinist question and their concept os pleasure and relationships.

Good Luck!!!
